Los Altos, California - Dec 17, 2003 - Sandwork Design Inc. today announced that Hynix Semiconductor Inc. (Ichon, Korea) has adopted Sandwork's SPICE Explorer and WaveView Analyzer to debug analog and mixed-signal semiconductor designs in both the Memory and System IC divisions. WaveView Analyzer is a powerful waveform analysis tool for viewing and summarizing data produced by SPICE-level and Verilog simulators.

Hynix is a world-class semiconductor manufacturer and one of the world's largest DRAM producer. "Hynix' focus is on efficiency," said Sandwork Design's president and CEO, Jack Yao. "We're pleased that after evaluating various waveform analysis tools, Hynix found that ours was the most efficient. It enabled the Hynix designers to shorten their design cycles and improve overall full-chip simulation performance."

"WaveView Analyzer was the fastest and most capable tool we could find for interpreting the results of our gigabyte-sized SPICE and Verilog simulations," said Dr. Seong Kwan Hong, CIO and vice president of Hynix Semiconductor. "We were especially impressed with its fast loading speed and versatile analysis functions. It works seamlessly with our existing design and verification flows, and it supports all the waveform formats we use."
